Research shows that one key to happiness is an atmosphere of growth — the sense that you’re moving forward. By creating a specific, memorable aim and tracking your progress, you can make that atmosphere a part of your daily life.
The key is making your aim specific enough to track. “Walk 20 minutes on weekday mornings” works better than “exercise more.”
